Katy SanchezBSc(Hons) MSc

Katy Sanchez is a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist based at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital site. 

Her registration was achieved in Haematology and Blood Transfusion in 2004 but she has since gained extensive knowledge in Special Haematology working as a Senior Biomedical Scientist and acting Operations Manager. Her MSc project was in the field of drug resistance in haemato-oncology and she has extensive experience in molecular techniques applied to both haemato-oncology and haemoglobinopathy diagnosis.  

Katy is also proficient in flowcytometry and has applied her skills to the design and implementation of 10 colour flowcytometry panels for leucocyte immunophenotyping, micropartical analysis, platelet function and antigen testing.
