A labelled glass slide with Sellotape attached. Avoid writing the patient details on the Sellotape. Slides and slide box carriers can be obtained through NHS supplies.

Special sample instructions: 

Apply sticky side of sellotape to peri-anal area first thing in the morning. Ensure tape is applied evenly to the slide without folding.

Criteria for acceptance / rejections of sample
Storage and transport: 
Place the sellotape slide in a plastic slide holder. Place sample in a sealed sample bag and send to Central Specimen Reception (CSR).
