Methaemoglobin

Description: 
Methaemoglobin is a form of haemoglobin, which cannot carry oxygen.
Measurement is performed by blood gas analyser.
Clinical details: 
The presence of methaemoglobin reduces the volume of oxygen that can be transported by the patients red cells.

% of total haemoglobin.
