Fructosamine
Description:
Fructosamine is the name given to ketoamine products formed from the non-enzymatic attachment of a carbohydrate to a protein. It provides an alternative to HbA1c for monitoring of glycaemic control; however fructosamine cannot be used for diagnosing diabetes.

Storage and transport:
For external samples, please transport frozen. Cell-free serum is stable for 3 days at 15-25°C, 2 weeks at 2-8°C and 2 months at -15 to -25°C. For sample shipment, samples should be stored frozen. Repeated freezing and thawing of samples should be avoided (freeze only once).
