Description: 
Inflammatory Myopathies are a group of rare muscle diseases that result in the inflammation and degeneration of skeletal muscle tissue, causing muscle weakness. Inflammatory Myopathies include dermatomyositis, polymyositis, idiopathic myositis, antisynthetase syndrome and overlapping syndromes.  This assay provides a qualitative in vitro method for detecting 16 myositis associated human autoantibodies against Mi-2 alpha, Mi-2 beta, TIF1g, MDA5, NXP2, SAE1, Ku, PM-Scl100, PM-Scl75, Jo-1, SRP, PL-7, PL-12, EJ, OJ, and Ro-52 antigens.
