Description: 
Qualitative chemiluminescent immunoassay for the detection of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) IgM antibodies. This assay is available routinely Mon to Fri.
Clinical details: 
Suspected primary CMV infection and may also be detected during CMV reactivation. CMV avidity and/or CMV viral load testing can help elucidate timing of infection

Storage and transport: 
Place labelled sample in a sealed sample bag and send to Central Specimen Reception (CSR). To prevent sample haemolysis please store samples in refrigerator if a delay in sending samples to CSR is unavoidable.
