Clinical details:
A repeatedly positive result may support a diagnosis of invasive fungal infection (IFI) including invasive candida infection. Results should be considered in conjunction with other diagnostic procedures, such as microbiologic culture, histological examination of biopsy specimens, host risk factors and radiographic evidence. A negative result can may be helpful to rule out the diagnosis of IA in some situations.
