Description: 
Sample sent to Leeds Mycology Reference Centre referral laboratory for detection of IgG antibodies to Aspergillus.
Clinical details: 
Useful in the diagnosis of chronic aspergillus related diseases in immunocompetent individuals and in monitoring therapy, see related conditions

Usually reported as mg Antibody per litre (mgA/L) and range from <2.0 to >200

Request Fungal serology for Aspergillus antibodies.

Storage and transport: 
Place labelled sample in a sealed sample bag and send to Central Specimen Reception (CSR). To prevent sample haemolysis please store samples in refrigerator if a delay in sending samples to CSR is unavoidable.
