dsDNA antibodies
Description:
Autoantibodies to double stranded DNA (dsDNA) are one of many autoantibodies to nuclear related antigens. They are of particular significance in the diagnosis and management of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) where there is evidence that the titre of the antibody is related to disease activity and useful in monitoring treatment. In drug induced lupus anti-dsDNA is usually negative. The antigen used in this ELISA assay is a human recombinant dsDNA.
