Michael Makele

Michael joined the Viapath Blood Transfusion laboratory based at Guys and St Thomas Hospitals in June 2015 following a conversation he had with a former colleague who joined Viapath the previous year and the emphasis Viapath placed on developing scientific careers.

His career in itself is a personal achievement as it has contributed to his development and having a greater understanding of how his role is involved in the patient treatment pathway. A significant moment in Michael's career is working with his colleagues to establish a new Blood sciences laboratory.

In 2019, Michael moved to King's College Hospital as the Senior Pathology Quality Manager for Viapath laboratories on that site, and for the PRUH laboratories.
