Dr Paradzai Chitongo BSc (Hons) MSc FIBMS

Dr Chitongo joined King's College Haematology laboratory as a rotational BMS1 in 2005.

The following year he got promoted to the role of Deputy Head for the Haemostasis and thrombosis laboratory. He was part of the vibrant team that saw the transformation of pathology services at king's culminating in the formation of the Blood Sciences laboratory.

Paradzai took over the role of Operational and Scientific Lead for the Diagnostic Haemostasis and Thrombosis laboratory at King’s College Hospital in 2011 and is actively involved in research on venous thromboembolism, thrombophilia and the new oral direct inhibitors.

Paradzai is a key member of the King's Thrombosis Centre and was instrumental in the setting up of the King’s Anticoagulation Reference Centre.
