Dr Andreas Marnerides MD PhD
Dr Marnerides joined Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in 2013 from the Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden where he undertook his Histopathology and Perinatal & Paediatric Pathology training, and worked for a year as a Consultant. Before that, Andreas was trained and qualified in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology (the equivalent training in Forensic Pathology in Greece; at the Dept. of Pathology of the University of Athens, Greece and the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology of the University of Thessaloniki, Greece).
Dr Marnerides holds an MD and a PhD in Pathology (University of Athens, Greece). His special clinical interests include Placental and Perinatal Pathology. He is also very interested in Forensic Paediatric Pathology (he leads this Service at St Thomas' Hospital) and in Coroner's Paediatric and Adult post mortem examinations.
Dr Marnerides is a member of the British & Irish Paediatric Pathology Association (BRIPPA) and a founding member of the Hellenic Association of Forensic Pathology.
