Consultant Biomedical Scientist
Kate has had a long career working in Biochemistry, but found that her interest lay in the more specialised area of metabolic biochemistry which she has been working in since 2003.
As a Senior BMS at Sheffield Children’s Hospital from 2003–2007 her interest in the technical aspects of metabolic biochemistry including LC-MS/MS were founded.
Whilst in Singapore from 2007 - 2011 she set up and ran the expanded newborn screening laboratory at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Kate joined the IMD team at ViaPath in 2012 as an Operations Manager bringing a wealth of experience and enthusiasm.
She is a member of BIMDG, SSIEM and ISNS.
