Laboratory overview

The laboratory provides a wide range of analytical services for diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of disease for both in-patients and out-patients.

The department has an active role in many research projects and clinical studies throughout the UK.

Clinical Biochemistry is a UKAS accredited medical laboratory (No.8826), accredited to ISO15189:2012 for the tests listed in the schedule of accreditation on the UKAS website (https://www.ukas.com/download-schedule/8826/Medical/)

Opening hours for routine investigations

Royal Brompton Hospital
Monday to Friday: 9am to 5.30pm

Harefield Hospital
Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 5pm

An emergency service is available outside these hours.
